Secrets Of A Girl Having Fun... Colours Of The Rainbow Tag

I have seen this tag floating around the internet and I thought I would give it a go as it looks like fun. If you havent already heard of this tag it basically consists of using the colours Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet as well as Pink and Multicolour thrown in there - (I like to remember it as ROY G BIV!). With those colours you then choose a beauty product or an item which is in those colours. Its Pretty straight forward and quite a lot of fun both doing this tag and seeing other peoples version on it. So without further ado this is my Colours Of The Rainbow Tag:

The first colour is Red and so I immedietly reached for my Dot perfume by Marc Jacobs. Although one of the petals on my bottle has fallen off the scent still smells lovely. This mainly red coloured product does have black lady bird poka dots on it and as per usual of Marc Jacobs they have done a marveolous job with their design of the bottle. Although there are the black spots on the bottle as well as a few other added designs, such as petals and a pearl, I feel that this product is more than suitable for the first colour of Red.

Up next is Orange and although I desperatly wanted to put one of my many orange skirts in (stayed tune for my London Haul to see the latest addition to my collection!) I decided that no, I would shake it up a bit and so instead I chose my American Apparel nail polish in the colour Jupiter. It claims to glow in the dark but whether or not I am not applying enough of it to allow it to fullfill its destiny of never letting me have a peaceful sleep in the dark, I have not found that this has happened yet. Although on the outside the product is a fabulous orange when applied on nails it comes out as an almost peachy clear colour (depending on the number of coats applied) which persuades me to constantly put it on and to check once again if it will actually glow in the dark!

For Yellow I wanted to choose my Swarovski pencil because yes, I could have picked my Katy Perry yellow 'Oh, Honey!' fake eyelashes but I felt that as I had not used them yet it would not qualify and my yellow gemmed pencil was more then up for the job. I simply love these pencils and I have a small collection (which I am hoping to grow) of jeweled pencils as well as coloured pencils and I think that they are just so fun. I stand them in a pot with my eye liners and brushers and it adds a fun sparkle to my make up storage. I have to admit though that when I was younger I even thought that these pencils were like wands if you held the bottom where the lead was -just a fun fact and a great gift for a young one!  I believe that one place that you can find them at is Harrods.

For green (- I am having to go through my little poem to remember the order of these colours as I write this!) I chose my Pillow Mist from L'Occitane. I wont say too much about this product as I mention it in my May Favourites which you can go and check out to find out more but the product's bottle is green and so I felt it was more then suitable to use as my product despite the fact that the liquid inside is a clear spray.

Blue equals my Dior, Diorshow 258 Azure Blue mascara. My darling GodMother gave me this mascara and it is both F's: Fun and Fabulous. This mascara is a rather vibrant blue and not your everyday black. It gives you a fun twist from the everyday boring black and makes the day that bit more fun.

I had trouble with Indigo, not just with determining what exaclty qualified as a violet colour but also finding something that matched that description. In the end, after much dileberation, I chose my Benefit Hervana blusher and although the blusher itself is a pink colour and the top of the packaging has glimpses of pink too I do feel that this is deemed suitable for being a violet product as violet is sweeped throughout the packaging and I feel is very evident throughout.

This product is a sneak peak into my June Favourites so therefore I will not say too much about it.  A popular product I have heard great things about is my violet packaged 'Its A 10 miracle styling serum'. I think this product is simple great however if you want to hear me rave about this product then as I said before go and have a look at my post on my Monthly Favourites.. otherwise the rest remains a mystery!

Pink and Multicoloured where both added at the end of the rainbow tag because what is a rainbow without pink and multicoloured? They are key memebers of the colour community, to be fair.  I adore my pink product so I therefore have no hestiation in telling you that my next product is my Bobbi Brown Bellini eye and lip palette. The packaging is simple superb so much so that I cant bare to throw away the cardboard which the palette sits in when you buy a product. As well as the lip colours inside consisting of a variety of pinks the outter cardboard packging is stunning consisting in a range of pinks, as well as a scatter of peach to show off the pink pearls. Inside and out I am incredibly impressed with this product as it ticks all of the 3 P boxes for me: Packaging, product and presentation - the way it is stored is very cool if I do say so myself! Well done Bobbi Brown a very happy customer here.

The definitive colour of this rainbow is 'Multicolour' which I chose my Kate Spade make up bag for. Simply a bag covered in hundred and thousand (or sprinkle) like images this Kate Spade beauty bag is great for storage and more then easy on the eye.

So with that I conclude my colours of the rainbow tag post. I have thoroughly enjoyed chosing my products for this so I urge you to have a go at it yourself and if you have then I would love to see it so feel free to tweet me, comment below or any other ways in which you can think of! I look forward to seeing them and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Until next time,
Lots Of Love,
IBCxxx
