Making 2014 YOUR year

Good-bye 2013, Hello 2014! Although there have been many a post on the new year I felt that I would now also contribute to this and add my two cents on how I will be attempting to survive 2014 and make it a bit more than an average year. Here are a few of my resolutions and a step guide to make things bearable.

1. SMILE.
The aim here is to smile through the bad things as well as the good, to try and be more positive and see the good side such: well at least I will never have to re-live that moment again.
It is a scientific fact, (I’m pretty sure!) that if you smile even when you realllyyy don’t want to then it tricks the mind into thinking your happy and after a while you will forget that this is a fake smile and you will start to enjoy yourself a little bit more.
When you smile at someone it might make someone’s day a bit better, so pass on the joy and after a while you will really start to notice the difference with your friends and your life. As smiling, fake smiling regardless, and being happy is the sort of person people want to be around.

2. We make our own HAPPINESS.
All though many a situation may be out of our control - especially at school, this year something that will help you propel yourself through the river is by taking something into your own hands. If you love acting then join an acting school and DO SOMETHING YOU LOVE to get you through those tough times and to keep you motivated as well as happier.
It doesn't have to be something big but even taking 5 minutes at the end of your day, perhaps at bed time, to have a little 'you' time to take care of number one by just perhaps reading a magazine or something that will distract you and make you smile.

3. Make it a GOOD DAY. Harder said then done! But we all have those days where the moment they are over we are so happy but as soon as the night before rolls on the dreaded idea of the next day is the worst thing in the world.
So, for those days where there seems to be little sunshine and just horrible thing after horrible thing in stead of dreading this day try and make it one day that you like instead. Make it your new day where you approach the day with a positive attitude and try and make it your favourite day.
Whether this means it is your favourite day because at break maybe you buy your self a hot chocolate as well as a muffin, leave yourself treats throughout the day to make it enjoyable.

4. Stay ORGANISED.
When you stay organised and on top of your work it makes your life so much more bearable. It means that you are less stressed and can really enjoy yourself when your finished. It creates clear lines and boundaries enabling you to know where you stand and whether you are doing work, schoolwork, exams or anything else the ability to stay organised is something that we should all perceiver in order to make our life easier.

There are many other things that I could go on to say about making 2014 a little bit better for all of us but at the end of the day we make our own happiness so lets start TODAY and take things into our own hands.
Making our own sadness is easy but it is important to perceiver and so if you are one of those people who struggles, I think everyone is, then just use these 4 baby steps to try and make everything a bit better for yourself.
Everything is easier said then done and although all of things become daunting lets make 2014 OUR year.

Start doing something you love today.

And remember everyone is going through there own battle, whether you know it or not.
